I need directions to the best fishing in southern Alabama! I'll be flying down on the 28th to take my grandkids fishing. Any advice where to go? They live in Mobile. Freshwater I'm thinkin'.
And accommodations arrangements!!
By the way what time are you picking me up :eyebrow:
Try the new Pier at Orange Beach just down the beach a lil, Coolest place ever! 1500 feet long its like a small city, no need to leave everything you need is right there, get tired of catching one species move out a 100' and catch something different :yoyo:

Orange beach, is that in the salt? I'll check it out. Thanks.
Definitely in the salt!
Plenty of fresh around down there I just dont know much about it
He logs in everyday to get listed in the online list, but he only reads during full moons.
When's the next full moon? Looks like it'll be this weekend...you might be in luck. :laf: :laf:
Nailbender I am not a salt water fishing kinda guy. I did do some when I was younger growing up close to P.C. beach with friends that operated or owned charter boats. However most of my salt water experience was square grouper. The majority of my Alabama fishing was fresh water on lake Seminole.
Moon must be up. Thanks for the replies. No, not looking to fish the salt. Might, if the opportunity arises. But the main goal of my trip is fishing with my grandkids. Small lakes or rivers. Just wondering if anyone knew anything worth driving to, within an hour or two. Of Mobile that is.
Seminole is at three hrs but maybe worth the trip? Al. outdoors doesn't have much useful info, when it's up. Any other sites I could check?
Orange beach is out. I want the kids to see country not city. Gotta try, with the little time I have.
