I like that. The way the grain is almost hidden by how dark it is.

Blackwood is a pain to photograph. Right now mine is pretty easy, since it is in sticks. When you want to have some fun, turn some Ebony. I will let you give it a try and not 'poison the well' with my views of turning it.

I have turned Macassar Ebony..... I curse myself every time but the end product keeps me coming back lol. That stuff photographs like this Blackwood.... Not well. :madd:
I like Mac Ebony. Nice lines that show when you turn it in your hand. As for photographs that is a different story.

Edit: You keep posting pictures and it is going to make me finish off a few of the bodies I have started. Right after I finish the 30+ Post Office front banks and a couple dozen more wine stoppers.
