For all you exotic deer experts is that a Whitetail? Looks a little different to me.
That is a Mule Deer.
I figured it might be by the white rump patch.

Last time I was in Durango a 2x3 a little bigger than this one spent the morning across the road/street from our motel, in a living room size patch of brush.
Too bad we can't all meet for lunch today in Durango!
