Scroll down to the bottom of the front page and click on the words "chat stats".
If your machine is set up with java, it'll take you in and prompt you for your user name and password.
Username and password are the same as you use to log into the forums.
ONcE YOUR IN... double click on your name in the list to register yourself so someone else can't clone your name. Takes 6 seconds tops :biggrin:

I do know there's a "so many" seconds delay before each refresh when it shows who's in chat.
But I'm assuming right now that the chat server is down. The front page really hangs when trying to see if anyone's in there and that info comes from a different server then mine.

It was Mallard, Canine and me in there last night. I left the room and scrolled down. It said zero people chatting. I dunno man, so I jumped back on there and those two were still in there chatting. Go figure. :wo: :shrug:
Yeah, like I said I'm sure it's their server that's causing this.
You can see the front page say, trying to connect to www.everywherechat.com , which is the server that the chat is on, and it checks to see who's on there so it knows who to display on our front page.
That's why our front page is temporarily bogged too, it's waiting for their server to give us that information to display and it's not getting it.
I was in chat last night after middnight with Todd and KeeKee and they couldnt make a shout but I could. Man something is flat weired with the server that is for sure.

And...the reason it looks all funky is because it is :eyebrownod: I mean it's a different version from what we had before. And I'll agree it's ugly and kinda sux. But I didn't think you guys that use it would stand not having one at all, so I had that one brought in until our old one is made compatable with our last board upgrade.

There's a group of folks over on another forum......a computer geek forum :eyebrownod: ...actually it's a support forum for this software. Anyway they make the add ons, modifications...toys if you will, for the board software on their own time and free will.
When SMF (the name of our software) upgrades or changes the software, these guys have to go back and adjust the add ons they have made available to us so they are compatible.
Some of them have coded several toys for these boards and it just takes a little time for them to get through them all when updating them.
Call the geek forum and tell them we need a chat room..............I haven't talked this much to my wife in months.......... :rolleye: :nono:
