This coon was called in about sunrise out of an abandoned building sight. The caller is in front of the truck and I am standing beside it in full view. Coons are not that hard to call, early morning , evening ,or after dark. You'll have to excuse the quality of the video, it's just the video mode on my digital camera. Randy Roede

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed it! : :highclap:
That's pretty cool :laf:
What kind of caller were you using?
Where was that shotgun when you needed it?
Jerry
The caller used in the video is the new wildlife tech. caller, much improved from the earlier models. Lighter with tremendous volume and easy to operate. Not to mention tremendous quality in the sounds, whatever sounds they might be.
It seems all ecallers, whatever brand they may be, have sure changed over the years. I remember the old 45 records on a battery powered turntable. I sure bought alot of bateries!!
If it was windy did it blow the needle around :laf:
Never used one but I have seen pics of them...boy I feel young again :highclap:
That is pretty cool.
Woow! Thanks RR! :bowingsmilie: Oh yeah, Welcome to the board. :yoyo:
Soooo WT has new & improved, huh? :wo:
I picked up a used game calling tapeplayer to use on 'coon.
Do you call 'coon often?
Yes the WT has improved, like every other caller as time goes by they get improved , I have been using the WT since 03 on coon , fox, beaver, muskrat, and yes coyotes with allot of success. Like I posted before coons are not that hard to call especially this time of the year. It seems I find more and more ways to use it every year! I love the quality of the sounds on the WT, and the tremendous volume. So far I haven't found anything that compares to it.
Yea I dated myself with the 45 records, never had an 8 track caller but still have a Johnny Stewart cassette one. The needle did bonce around on the record player, but we shot allot of crows with that thing. Not much volume though.
Thanks for the welcome Randy Roede
:roflmao: They actually made an 8 track caller?
That was very COOL Randy :yoyo: :yoyo: :yoyo:
Thanks for sharing and WELCOME to the board.
I also use the WT, I had the friendly people over at WT give me some coon sounds not to long ago.
Haven't had a chance to use it on coons yet but I must agree with Randy.
Nothing compares to the sounds from WT.
Finally got to see the vid. Pretty cool, I have that same sound on my machine.
I would like to learn more about coon callin.
B204, that was actually the fourth time that coon showed himself, the earlier times he just came to those bushes and stopped.
Are you using the latest model of the WT? I have two other coon vocalizations and all seem to call coons. Just another way to solve some complaints quickly and effectively.
Yes the latest WT. I love it!!!!
hi randy, cool video, i was wondering about calling beaver and muskrat?...sounds mighty interesting..i like hunting muskrats:
