Almost didn't make it out this evening. Looking at Brent's and other's trapping pics has me chaffing at the bit for the season to open here. Decided I really needed to get some prep work done, so was boiling, waxing, tuning, and fidgeting with a new coon box design to use with 220's. Looked up and the sun was low..... The deer hunting has been slow and for a sec I thought 'the heck with it', but then decided to grab the 12 guage and a coat and make a quick watch out back. About dark, what I thought was a small doe came into my grunting. Came to about 15 yards and looked right up at me in my jeans and I had to laugh thinking this dummy is wondering how did the buck get up in a tree  Well, I got tags and freezer to fill so I dropped it. Turned out to be a button buck.... 2 down, 4 to go.
You have more luck then anyone I think I've ever met.
A nice casual harvest...what's up with that? :yoyo:
