Ice fishing still sucked again today. :sad3:
My brother happen to get 10 or 15 bluegills, of which 7 or 8 of them were pretty dang good size :eyebrownod:
All I cought was 4 lil bittie ones that looked like they came off someones tip-up as bait  I was pouting so I didnt take pictures of his fish. If I can't brag about my fish....then NO FISH :pout: :laf: :laf:
I drilled through close to 18 inches of ice when we got there at 8:00. By the time we left we were standing in 3 inches of water on tip of the ice and she was bouncy :holdon: Dont think we'll be going tomorrow...or we might not get back to shore once the sun starts shining :shck:
I did manage to capture ya some hovercrafts buzzin around though. Wish I had one of these :yoyo:

never seen one of them, I tell ya what, they would make one heck of a ice rescue craft.
Yeah, and they have too. I tell ya the way that ice was breaking down...I did wanna make sure I headed for shore before they did. :eyebrownod:
HEEEELLP!!
You need to dig up some of them coffee cans you got buried in the yard and buy you one of them Jim.
Those are pretty cool......but uh..do they have a weight limit...? :innocentwhistle:
Oh yeah they have a weight limit. But each one is going to be a little different.
There's a big fan mounted in the hull of each one, which forces air down towards the ice....and then the air gets trapped between the hovercraft hull and the black skirting that surrounds the hull and then the air actually lifts the craft.
The size of the fan, verses the overall boat dimensions, kinda dictates what it'll lift. Granted you can get different fan sizes.
The hovercraft itself is actually made of high density styrofoam, so that they are ultra light. If your a rookie and arent familiar with stopping them where you want, you'll be doing some body work your first trip out.
You can see how the one guy spun his around to stop. Most guys will flip their rear fan into reverse to stop. But you better hold on to your toupe if you do that :hahaha:
Most of them wont lift more then two adults and still navigate. The first one in that clip was just an air boat...that sumbitch would haul you Bop. :eyebrownod:
Jim do the ones like that have the variable pitch propellers?
You talking the rear fan or the deck fan?
Cause those are the only two on board.
Dang youYankees will do anything to catch a fish. That is wanting to fish mighty bad to get an outfit like that. I've never seen anything like it. Well the rivers and creeks don't freeze here maybe that's why.
Kinda like the Last Samurai, Bob. ...but in reverse :yoyo:
