I'm thinking about a new fall-away rest but I don't know much about them, anybody got any suggestions?
I am all about killing with my bow........So I stick to what I am confedent with, old and slow, and really know what 20yds is...That kind of thing. But your reason for going to a fall away rest is a good place to start. Why are you thinking about a change?
Al, I have a whisker biscuit right now. It does a good job but it's hard on the fletching and I lose some speed, and probably a little accuracy.
I was really just curios what everyone else thought in case I do change my mind.
 I thought maybe you were having problems, that I can help with but my rest is so old I do not remember what kind it is. I am sure some of these guys can help ya find one.
I switched from a whisker biscuit to a drop away(I forget what brand, I'll check later) last year and my accuracy improved.
I always liked the whisker biscuit but if you don't have perfect follow through your accuracy will suffer. I didn't really notice it until I started shooting 3-D. After I switched my score went up about 25 points. Mostly because I didn't have that occasional dropped shot from lack of perfect follow through. A drop away is alot more forgiving.
I've got a "pressure/plunger" type rest on my old Martin. Not sure what the correct name for it is or even who made it now. The rest looks like a horizontal allen wrench next to a plunger button. I usually shoot with three fingers under the arrow and no sights. Whisker bisquit and drop away are new to me.
