We set out Saturday morning with 3 youngens in the truck and we met up with a few others when we got
to the hunting property, yes it was planned that way. After 3 set ups and some what should have been
very productive drives we seen nothing. There were seven youngsters there and not one shot fired :pout:
While taking a short break and eating a sandwich we talked out our earlier hunts. All the drives were the same
direction,so we switched directions and drove the sides of the hills instead of the tops and bingo 7 deer run right through 5 of the 7 kids seven shots fired and no deer down but all were very happy
While walking to the next set up the 9 year old boy that I was hunting with looks up at me and said
I am Having Lots Of Fun today, and are you gonna be here Sunday  all I could say was you bet I am
Here is a line up of the hunters

Ages 9 - 13 the 2 young ladies fond a completely composed deer and brought back the deer head they are holding
If you can see the mass on the antlers you can see someone really messed up not finding this one
Sounds like a good day Bill.......hope you all have better luck tomorrow!
Quite a crew ya got there Willy.
That's gotta be a helluva good time for those kids. Are ya able to keep up with em ok? :innocentwhistle:
It is a great time and as for keeping up,no problem there I stand with a couple shooters and make sure they are shooting safely
Was thinkin of how you were doing while I was out hunting yesterday. It was bitter cold and I was wondering how/if your kids were holding up.
It appears both those young lady's in the front row were armed for a mini .410 war on any fur crit'r moving.
Good look'n and very happy set of pumpkins ya got sitting there Bill.
Good luck for the kids today. It's nice they have somebody like you to take them out. :congrats:
The wind was harsh and they all done pretty good about staying warm. One of the boys stepped in the edge of a creek and got a wet foot we got him to the truck pretty quick and got him some dry socks and back to hunting
This morning it is 15 degrees and will be leaving here about 7am to do it all again
There are 5 adults hunting with these kids I am pretty sure I couldn't handle them all by myself
Hopefully I will be posting pics of dead deer this evening
Looks good Bill.
Hope ya have a great, safe, productive day. :thumb2:
Way to go Bill. :congrats: Bless you for helping the kids. Be safe and have fun today.
Pat

I never noticed that, but they are weighed down pretty good with ammo aint they :laf:
C'mon Willy, bring us some carnage :yoyo:
Only one deer seen today one shot fired and no deer down.
We done the best we could and still no deer.the kids had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our regular
gun season and already talking about next year :yoyo:
Bill,
Sounds like everyone had a good time. Thanks for taking them out.
Jerry
Yes Jerry we all had a wonderful time.
Every one was very tired and ready for a good nights sleep
Alot of ground was covered and I even got to show some young folks a little about scouting for coyotes
Of course they asked when are we gonna hunt them.I told them if you see one shoot it they are in season.
Bill,
You done good taking those kids out to hunt. We need more young hunters. Sounds like they all had a great time in the out of doors!! Thanks to your efforts. My cammy hat's off to you. Well done!!
Jim
I just bet those youngens had a grand time traipsing through the woods w/ gun in hand. ;yes;
I get a thrill down my spine just thinking about it. :eyebrow:
Bill that sound's like more fun than getting stuck in a harem. I'll bet the kid's had fun with you guy's and many thank's for sharing your time and experience with them :yoyo: :yoyo: :bowingsmilie:. I'm also willing to bet they wer not the only one's to learn something from this. I've noticed that youngun's don't put the same amount of thought into the "have to get" category as adult's and that in itself make's it fun.
