Did anyone hear anything about certain Sportsmans Warehouses closing in various parts?
I heard this morning that Circuit City went out of business also.
Kind of another reminder of how ugly this economy is gonna get.
I'd read that somewhere Jim about Circiut City. Even some of the goofs around here that Alberta couldn't fall are learning that is getting nasty.
Circuit City went OOB last summer here in Tennessee. Course how many people that don't wear shoes gonna know how to operate some high tech stuff! :shrug:
Well, the biggest thing I'm concerned about is the additional 34,000 employees hitting the streets jobless.
I got this little snippet of NBC's News website;
Inside a store in Little Rock, Ark., a few tables sat in the middle of an empty showroom, with discarded wireless phones and other electronic wiring. A box nearby contained alarms, that once guarded the store's digital cameras and camcorders, being sold for 25 cents each. Families with toolboxes disassembled the store's racks and stands.
Ah hell Jim! You ever been to Ark? All they got is rice and ducks!
:laf:
I am jobless and going hungry......But I still wont eat rice... :nono: Not as long as I got bullets.... :laf:
I think I posted a topic about it a month or two ago. Sure is going to hurt alot of families and outdoorsmen.
Circuit City Officially closed its doors this past Sunday, crying shame, have not heard about Sportsmans Warehouse, is this the kind of change Obama was talking about? A little bit of relief on the Stock Market today but it will probably go back down tomorrow. :shrug: cc
Axshully the circuit city here in town just closed this last week for good and the superwalmart went from 24 hours a day open to open from 7am to midnight now......that was a shocker :shck:
Jim, It was just on the news that Sportsmens Warehouse in Sioux Falls is closing it's doors. My wife just saw it , but I can't say what the official closing date is. It is the only one in South Dakota. Sorry to hear that.
I'm sure they are all closing up, it's just a matter of time for management to get each location liquidated. Same way Circuit City did it probably.
