Title: 32-40 winchesters
Post by: Silencer on March 18, 2009, 05:43:46 PM
I have a VERY old original box of remington 32-40 winchester center fire shells.

Anyone know if they're worth anything ?  2 are missing, wish it were a full box.

Thanks     Vic

Yeah they'll have collector value.  I shoot them myself and then use the brass for reloading.

Barry, the gun lever action or single shot ?  I've never really heard of them only from the shells.

Thanks

Silencer the 32-40 was origanally designed for single shot rifles.  It became available in repeating arms around 1886 and was sold as a rifle calibre until the 40's.  I guess the reason I like them is Harry Pope liked them and as a gunsmith/maker he could sure shoot a target with the 32-40.
