Who and why would they be collared?
You can read the numbers on the collars with a spotting scope so they are trying to keep track of their movements I think Jim.
I think that makes sense.
In the spring there are usually 100's of them in the backwaters. I think I got a pic on the board here somewhere, I took last year where there were so many in the distance it looked like snow covering the water.
We saw around 500 of them today. Beautiful birds.
