Put me on the "I'm going to try like hell." list Rich. :yoyo:
I use to always put myself in the red, but then last year happened and I found out things can change in a wink of an eye. Unless something major happens, I will be there.
Richard, add me to the I'm going to try like hell list as well.
I sure wish I could but...
Gonna TRY!!
Barring some emergency, I WILL BE THERE!
Pat
Its about a 20 minute drive from my front porch to LBL..... so count me in on showing up at some point.
JDMiller(Jamie Miller)

"Assumption is the mother of all foul ups". Having said that, I believe Mr. Richard just assumed you'd be there without a doubt. :eyebrownod:
He was right too, wasn't he?
Without a doubt I will be there gonna pic vacation days in Dec. For it !
Procrastinated long enough, put me in the I'll be there group.
Unless I'm in the hospital, or jail, or win the lottery, or wreck my truck, or...... well, you get the picture. :eyebrownod:
Put Kurtis in the I will be there list As long as he keeps his grades up He is allowed to go
Put me and Sean in.
Count me In
No work going to keep me away this year!!! :yoyo:
Rich, you can add a Western Rivers Ecaller to your loot list out there, thats locked.
I'm going to either bring the last one down with me or send it down. It's on it's way to me now.
Cool :yoyo: Ya gotta love a companie that promotes itself with freebies  Jimmie
Gonna try like the dickens this year. So far everything looks good :yoyo:
That would be Great Mike....... :yoyo: :yoyo:

I'll be there just made reservations at the campground. So if the Lord willing and the creek don't rise I'll be there may be wearing waders if the creek rises tho.

Back out and go to the LBL FAQ.
Palegrow, you better be wearing the waders anyway. Stuff gets pretty deep around that place :eyebrownod: If you don't believe me , just ask the guys how many piles of coyote crap they find around my fire in hte mornings :biggrin:Jimmie
Jimmie there must be some pretty big coyote around there cause some of the piles I heard seen you couldn't cover up with a shovel :roflmao: :roflmao:
Got the blessing from the wife. Lord willing and the creek don't rise...I WILL be there. WOO HOO! Now I am trying to talk her into letting the Big Dawg go.
Now to start figgerin' out accomodations.
O.K., Richard, the pressure has finally gotten to old Possumal, emphasis on the old. My last year newbie, Chuck Mattingly and I will be there if the Good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise. Somebody has to teach Bopeye how to fish or cut bait! :roflmao: :roflmao: Maybe Jimbo can bring a calculator or better yet a blackboard or a projector and screen, and they can teach poor old Chuck how to count to 12, as in coyotes! :roflmao: :roflmao: :laf: :eyebrownod: :rolleye: Seriously, we look forward to meeting a bunch of guys crazier than we are. :laf:

So you are going to teach me to be a Master Baiter? I may not be all that good at it, but I think I'll just keep on trying by myself, no help necessary. :eyebrownod:
Bop, you am de man! Anybody who'd try to teach you anything about being a Master Baiter, would be beating a dead horse to death! :roflmao: :roflmao: I'll consider bringing my new Aussie pup down there and teach him to tree a Bop, or is it bop a tree? Heck, Jimbo, help an aging marsupial with these problems. :laf: :eyebrownod: :nono:
If you can find a tree strong enough, then more power to your pup. :eyebrow:
Heck Bop, he is only ten weeks old and is already fighting a coyote hide with all 4 paws and every one of his little needle sharp teeth. If I can just get him trained right, he'll put old Bop up a big old sycamore! :laf: All kidding aside, he is the smartest pup I have ever owned of any breed. You don't have to correct him on a particular problem but once or twice and he won't do it again, as he wants to please me and bond with me. I guess the little feller hasn't developed good judgment yet. :eyebrownod: :nono: :laf:
Put pitw down now. I think you can put 5Shots in the same color category.
most likely I will be there also,
Wow!! It's great you guys are all going to be at LBL. It will be nice meeting all those I haven't met before! I'm really looking forward to it!!

I am considering the trip at this point. I really want to get a bobcat in pa. we'll see how the next two weeks go for me around home here.
If your talking to me Barry, it's not the time off or the money, it's more a combination of both.
I'm pretty sure I'll be off for a couple weeks in February, just like I am in January.
But with the economy the way it is, right now I'm having a real tough time throwing all my instincts out the window and taking a little hunting trip amidst it all.
I can afford the trip, but what lies ahead? I cant see inviting hard times like that when they are visibly coming down the pipe to begin with. I need to be cautious and ready.
Plus being a bachelor with a 17yr old son at home that I've had to drive to the county pen and pick up three times in the last year, and who is clearly headed down a one way street, A trip to the LBL would practically spell catastrophe.
It's like I told the other three guys that PM'ed me about it.
The LBL is going to always be there, this kid and my mortgage may not be.
I'll be back down to the LBL, but there's just too much at stake right now.
Jim... Little advice. Bring the kid with ya. It'll give him the chance to see what he could turn into.
 I guess I forgot to say if I'd be going didn't I.
Jim my hat is off to you again cause you sure do got the right turn when it come to setting your head in place. :bowingsmilie:. I don't know what it's like to have a child in trouble[that always seemed to be my job] and I for one believe you are doing what you think best for him. Maybe sending him down to the LBL would do some good for him and us. He would meet and listen to people who have far more life experiences[problem at 17 is I knew more than everyone but got that knocked out of me in a hurry, you know carrying mouth around with me and all :doh2:] and even if he didn't participate he would learn[maybe]. Whatever you do I wish you the best in all endeavors.
Jim. I have been there and done that. They have yet to learn that the folks they play with do not have thier best interest at heart and your the biggest dumb a there ever was. The only advise I can give you is to hang in there and love him all ya can and pray for the best. Mine finally decided to get off his ass and at least try to do something. I still don't agree with all he does and he doesn't have a clue as to how to take care of his own bussiness yet. But as time goes by he seems to catch on a bit each day. He comes to me and ask's for help I will give it, he comes a snorting like a young bull and he is on his own.
You keep doing what you know is right and let him take his lumps if nescescary. Jimmie
there ya go Jim if he gets out-O-line :wo:....... Lump him! :innocentwhistle:
Hey check that out. I went over 1K posts.
You got your priorities straight, Jim. Good for you. The LBL will be there for years to come. Your boy needs you now even though he may not think so.
Guys,
It's been a very long time since I've been around many of you... life has a way of changing things. From my divorce in 2004 to now has been a rollercoaster ride and not a good one.
I finally registered here(Thank you,Jim)after all these years. My guess is a few will remember me from the LBL and many more will remember me from PM. Either way, I'm hoping I still have a few friends left. I know I have some real good stories to tell now that I didn't have before becoming a mod over at PM!
I'm really hoping to be at the LBL Hunt this year if I can find enough money for gas. Richard has offered a place to sleep so I'm really thinking I can make it. I'll try to get some pictures posted from the past hunts, too. I still have all of them saved.
I'm ready... so go ahead and pile it on!
TomC/Nikonut/Blackdog Calls
A PM mod? Boo!
How's that for piling it on. :eyebrownod:
Tom, I would like to welcome you to FnF
I'm sure you don't remember me but I met you @ the LBL many years ago. If you do decide to attend the LBL again I'm sure you will be welcomed there. As for the pm thing what is done is done, today is a new day.
Chet
Tom I have already put you down in RED so you have to come.
Looking forward to some of the pic's from years past. :yoyo: You got a lot of catching up to do,you will quickly notice there are still a great bunch of guys here and that attend the LBL.
It'll be nice to meet you Tom! :yoyo: Welcome aboard!
Chet, Richard, and Brad!
Thanks for the welcome and looking forward to meeting up and talking to you fellas. There's been lots of water under the bridge and there will be lots more before all the crapola is washed down stream. I just wish we could wash it all upstream to Canada!

Sorry about that buddy!
I know there has to be at least one good Canadian somewhere in that mess up there... and you must be the one! LOL
I was thinking more about flushing the one that claims to live South of Bodo!
Nikonut
Not to worry Nikonut that amphibian moved into my area not ten years ago and I can honestly say I've not heard a good word about him. I do what I can to right some of his wrongs but man he done a lot of wrongs :doh2:.
Welcome aboard and remember I can screw up about America too so go easy on me cause I don't exactly what areas I can head into either.
Don't sweat it Barry. We know most Canadians are good and we'll get Tom on board with it. His eyes are still pretty new to seeing the truth, so it will take him a little while to adjust. :eyebrownod:
Welcome aboard Tom.
Nikonut,
Welcome to FnF. Glad to see you again.

Instigator!!!
I'm kind of changing gears here, but I just wanted to say something real quick of what I know personally of Nikonut (Tom).
I kinda remember Nikonut at the first LBL. He came for a little while and then had a family emergency or something like that and left. I don't recall even getting to talk to him at it and haven't talked since, but I do know that since he finally made the break from PM that I will try to get to know him better.
The PM blinders can be awfully heavy while wearing them, but once you finally see it's amazing what you realize on how bad things have gotten there now. I know from May '01 until a few years ago, it was my home site, but the Frog and others changed that for me, as well he did for many of you. There are a few others there that really rubbed me wrong as well. Some of them are now top guys at NPHA. Go figure. :doh2: Thank God for FnF and a thing called "thinking for yourself". :eyebrownod:
Who knows I might still be a member in good standing there at PM. I may never know though, because I just never visit the place. :nono:
Thanks James!
Now although this isn't really the place to have this conversation, it does pertain to the LBL if I can make it there.
One good thing about having been in the backroom at PM is being privy to the Mod archives. It's a virtual treasure of past arguments and correspondences. Not only did I get to read and study these I also made copies of most of them... I think I do have the info to clear up lots of realities and even the few misconceptions there. Should be interesting for all!

I know I'm not coming to the LBL to talk about this type of stuff :readthis:. I'm hoping to talk about many subjects that aren't going to make for hard feelings myself.
I'm with pitw on this. I go to the LBL for FUN, not controversy. I get enough of that elsewhere.
Guys,
I agree with you on this one, too.
The hunt isn't the place for controversy but there are some that want to know this stuff and have for many, many years. Way before you fellas started. These guys will be welcome to discuss this stuff with me but we will need to take it to private so as not to disturb those who don't care to know... it's all about respect at that point so don't worry. If you don't want to be around it you won't have to hear it... that's a promise! And if nobody wants to hear it we just won't discuss it at all!
Nikonut
Fair enough.
I'll be there. I'm coming with roundman and Sean. This will be my first trip. Looking forward to it.
Welcome to the LBL!! :yoyo:
Big Dawg is on the green list now. After we made plans, he signed up for Basket Ball and has a game that Sat. Hopefully next year though.
Looks like I need to move to the green list as well.
My daughters are having a surprize birthday party for me that weekend... Maybe next year!

That is too bad as I was looking forward to meeting the young man just to discuss 4H with him. Basketball is a great game and I hope he enjoys it cause now is the time. The LBL will still be there for him later.
I will not be able to go...... :argh: DANGED Doctors!!
Pat......If you cant fill my spot I will gladly pay...
Well, gee Al. That stinks. Is there ANY possibility at all? Hate for you to not be there.
You have more reasons to stay home than you have to go Al. Get better for next year & have twice the fun of being alive & going to the LBL. :yoyo: :yoyo:
Al, I might have wanted to show you my progress so far on my bow , but it can derned sure wait another year. I would much rather have you alive and kicking and full of vinegar as usual.

Take care my friend and know we are thinking about you. I am however feeling a mite safer about being there now though .
I don't know if anyone caught this but i was reading the names in the RED and how many time can one person come in one year? I'm down for 2  yall ain't expecting more out of me than I can bring are ya ?

I'd love to take my camper. I would even have room for a couple of guys, but 11-12 mpg for 8 hours pulling the thing vs 19-21 not pulling. With diesel at $2.90 a gallon right now. :sick2:
dont count me out yet. im still trying to make it.
I won't be able to make the LBL this year, can't afford the expenses.
Hate to hear you can't make it Dale. Hope things work out for you and that you'll be able to come next year.
Silvertip,
Sorry to hear that. You were very friendly to us newbies two years ago. Made us really feel welcome.
Jim
Hi all, new to this forum and coyote hunting. I live in Clarksville, TN and would like to attend. I can't bring much to the hunt, have never taken a coyote while hunting them. Have shot a couple from treestands though. Anyway, would like to attend & was hoping someone could take me under their wing and show me how it's done. Thanks
Hunt N Fish,
Welcome to FinsandFur. Come on down to LBL, everyone is welcome and I'm sure you'll have a good time.
Pat
Thanks Coyote101, just went in and dug out my predator calls, looked through the ammo for some .243 and ran some sweets through the bore. Getting excited about the hunt, don't know if I'll camp or make the drive yet, I work midnights and won't know if I have to work any that weekend yet. Schedule has to be posted before Wed, will know by then.
Welcome HnF!! Hope to see you there.
Probably the best thing would be to get ahold of CCP from here. He has a very good video on hunting these dogs here in the East. :yoyo: :yoyo:
 Might need those name tags. :laf: :laf:
 Altho that would have to be an awful big one for the Bopster!! :roflmao: :roflmao:
Thanks HMR will give it my best effort to make it.

Of particular interest (to me at least) was the left hand 700 vs stock they used to put on the vsf's. It's made by H-S Precision, has a full length aluminum bedding block, tan with black spiderweb, fits the 700's with varmint contour barrels, and sells for $75.00 plus tax & shipping. I received mine for right around $104.00. Midway sells them for $316 I think. I put it on my sps-v and it groups soooooo much better. Anyway, it's a $300 stock for 1/3 the cost. link to the sight attached. Sorry, only left hand stocks available.
