I took my buddy, Wayne hunting this am on my farm as it is the last day of a one week early doe season (Bow) and he has never killed a deer with his bow.......He shoots good and we did some prep work cutting trees and building a nice salt lick.....
It was before 8am when I heard him from my tree stand..... WHOO HOO!! I GOT ONE!!..... :laf: :laf: I stopped what I was doing right then and she is all cut up and soaking in some brine for the smoker.......

The Big guy was real tickled.........He makes her look small......Hell he makes the 4 Wheeler look small.... :laf: :laf:
But here is his first bow kill ever......I was just as excited that he got one..What a great morning... :eyebrownod:

Congratulations to your buddy. And your right he does make that 4 wheeler look small, probably makes a lot of things look small.

Great story and pictures, Alscalls Al, and a great big possum kudo to Wayne! That big rascal ought to be able to whip a bear bare handed. Any kill with a bow is a trophy, IMO, and that doe is a dandy. I remember the feeling real well on that first one, which amazes me some since it was 37 years ago. :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

I tell ya I was about to bust .....being so happy for him to take one with a bow.....he is pretty new to this hunting thing and LOVING IT! :eyebrownod:

Not to mention that looks like a nice mature doe.

That has to be the longst arrow I've ever seen!!!
