We had another good hunt today. We stopped at the deer hunt club right at daylight and used the digital caller to do a group howl and a pack answered across the road only about 200 yds. We almost just set up at the truck and waited for them to top the hill. But we unloaded the golf cart and rode down the highway and snuck in and set up on the other side of the hill from where they sounded off about 100 yds away. It was only about 5 minutes and here come this large male running over the hill towards the caller. I rolled him with a dead coyote load at 20 yds. He immediately got up and started to run away when I nailed him again. That was it for him. He weighed 40.15 lbs.

This is me and Todd my hunting buddy striking a pose.
We loaded up and rode up the road a ways. By this time it was only about 8am. We group howled again and again was answered, this time about 3/4 mile back off the road. So we started in to get set up. When we got where we started getting close we heard beagles, Rabbit hunters. right where we were headed. So we just left. We scouted a few areas and did a few more sets but no luck.

On the way home we stopped and did a little crow hunting. That was alot of fun. knocked em out for about 5 solid minutes, then they all left.

All in all, we had a great day

We like the Ol' electric golf cart because its quiet, but its old and just don't stay charged all day. At the end of our day I actually had to leave it and go get the truck and trailor cause it was dead. Of coarse, it don't help that its haulin two fat boys around. :roflmao:
