Coyote Kate & I have debit accounts just for internet buying that were set up by Dianne the G'hog Hunt Goddess aka HaMeR's trophy wife.

This account does not have overdraft protection from a savings account.
We find something we wish to purchase on the internet & get the total amount.
We then go on line to the bank & transfer funds from another account into the internet account for the purchase price plus maybe a couple dollars more. The internet account rarely has more than $10 extra dollars in it.
Now one little catch is, & I don't know if it's because Dianne is a little slow or what, but you will have to wait till the next day for your funds to have transferred to make your purchase. This is good in that it helps stop impulse buying, but bad as C.K. has a second chance to catch me making acquisitions for more tools, toys & accessories.  :innocentwhistle:
So if/when a hacking pervert in B.F.E. gets our card # he can't get himself anything better than a $10 hooker & we all know that ain't much fun. :noway:

Oh Mrs vvarmitr knows why it's set up exactly that way.

So what you are saying is put all my info out on the web or even on my computer[like I wouldn't be an easy mark for any hacker :doh2:] so that anyone could steal it and drain everything or face a charge cause I don't go on within two days :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:     crap, crap, crap, :pout: :pout: :pout: :pout:

It's on a secured server Barry, plus you have to have a username and password to log in.
Unlikely that the secured server would get hacked since all transmissions are encrypted. And your personal information, social security number, account number, etc...are not displayed to you or anyone else.

Most identity theft cases are from either a clerk capturing your account and pin number, a bystander doing the same, someone going through your garbage, you losing your wallet, or your computer being comprised by a hacker because you dont run any antivirus, and have vital information on your computer.

There's a couple posts here describing all this stuff.
