Way back in the 1800's when I took my trip to Arizona, we took the long route home and stopped at all the Indian shops on the sides of the road and sifted through their loot. Indian blankets, jewelry, meteor pieces, miniature figurines etc. Some of them had some pretty cool stuff.

I tried to find something for a souvenir for each of the three kids, to bring back for them, which amounted to petrified wood, T shirts, cups, and each of the girls got a little inexpensive pair of earrings, etc.

Katie, my oldest daughter now 16 was here for the weekend last weekend. Her and her sister live with their mother. She says Dad I lost one of the earrings you got me in Arizona. I was sleeping at a friends house and woke up to discover one gone.

I said well you got your good out of them, how long have you had them? They didn't cost a fortune, and that stuff happens. Don't worry about it.
She says but I cried when I couldnt find it, and it still bothers me.

I asked what the big deal was about them, cause Dad got them for her, or cause they were from out yonder and were a souvenir?
She says I dont know but...

I told her to bring the one she had I'd see what I could come up with.
I looked high and low on the internet and can't find anything. I found one place selling something slightly similar, but it still wasnt a match.

Maybe it's not even possible and was a once in a life time run :laf:  But I think I'm gonna need some help if I'm gonna pull this off.

I sure hope you can find the match to it. A little piece of Dad's heart dies when his little girl's heart breaks don't it?

Jim - Take the ear ring out of you grubby fingers and lay it on a contrasting piece of paper so these old eyes can tell what I need to find.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

Jim - Just found out I'm scheduled for surgery Friday am, will be in the hospital for a few days and then back in the wheel chair for a couple of weeks.  I'll try to get away tomorrow and look for it, if not it may be a few more weeks before I can get out.

Thanks Jim.  The lady's thought so but wanted confirmation and will now be on the lookout for one up here as well.  Way better for them to be looking for that than an iron mask for me :whew:.

Thats how I felt Scott. I thought, "what , did these two earrings just show up on earth one day"

Maybe they are part of a once in a life time, never to be seen again, rare two piece pair. :laf:
