Camera recommendation

I presently have a Kodak Z710. I got it because that is what I used at work. It seemed to take pretty decent pics, even for a klutz like me, in the auto mode, yet had manual settings in case I actually learned how to use them.

Now I can't take a good picture with it. Almost every picture is blurry. My old Samsung cell phone took better pics.  I thought maybe it was me, but I took one of the kid's cheaper Samsung pocket cams and tried it, and I can do halfway decent with it. I'm thinking it's either a setting on the cam that I have screwed up or it's just turned into a piece of crap and I am due for something new. What say ye? Any info or recommendations are appreciated.

Mike I had a camera do the same thing after I had it in my inside pocket thinking it was protected pretty good and I got caught in the rain as for suggesting a good camera I am the wrong person to tell ya what to buy  :laf:
