Diane!!  :yoyo: :yoyo:

We went out looking for another groundhog or two today & all we seen was this nice Fox squirrel under an apple tree in the hayfield. I asked Diane if she wanted to take her 1st Squirrel & she said yes & here we are. She rested the 17HMR on a round bale & promptly put a 17gr V-Max thru her head at 64yds!!   :yoyo: :yoyo:

This one is in the fridge cooling & soaking.

Congratulations to Diane!   A head shot at 64 yds is fine shootin'.   :yoyo:

Way to go Diane! :highclap:  Better watch out Glen?  You'll be delegated to the kitchen soon to prepare all the game Diane will be bringing home.  No more adventures in the field for you!  She might let you clean her rifles at the end of the day?  Just teasin!  It's great that you two can enjoy the outdoors together. :congrats:

Diane is at work but she always tells me to tell you guys Thanks a lot for the kind words. And with her looks I think every hero pic she's in is a good one. Then again I'm prolly a little biased.   I've been her spotter now for the last 2 summers & to be honest I rather enjoy it Jerry. Heck it's even fun when she says I can shoot something.  :laf: :laf:

That's what is so cool about the mighty 17HMR. At 100yds it shoots those 17gr V-Max into 3/4" all the time so a squirrel's head is usually easily enough accomplished. Even at that distance. Range time does pay off. She cracks eggs at 110yds at the shooting range with alarming regularity. And with Diane's steady aim & patience in the field she can usually put it where it needs to be.  :yoyo:

I'll always be out there in the field Dave. She doesn't like to drive all that much.  :laf: :laf: And I am truly blessed that not only does Diane go along with me but has decided to become a shooter 1st & then a hunter. She only missed 2 questions on the hunter safety course a couple years ago & always has the barrel pointed in the right direction. I couldn't be prouder of her.  :yoyo: :yoyo:
