Man o man that is some interesting stuff. Wow.

Every time it's over, I get mad, I want more.

I know times are tough and were learning to cut corners, but you guys do still have televisions right? 

With gas prices the way they are, I'm learning not to leave the friggin house unless it's on foot.

Now that it's warmed up here some I've been spending a lot of time out in the garage making table saw sacrifices to the Wood Gods. I got 10 hours in yesterday listening to the rain on the metal vent & the tunes on the radio. Been trying to catch up on the other shows we have recorded in the evenings.

I agree, it is a remarkable series, and I too watch it when I can.   Bores the hell out of the wife though.

Jim , I caught hte part where the guys in the jungle hadnt had meat in two weeks and flew the nets to catch the flying foxes for their fam by cutting a swath thru the jungle . That really is a great show and something comeing on this week looked really cool BUT right now suffering from CRS !!!!! cool to see how people survive. I watched Les Stroud survive with indigenous peoples and that was cool too. We did an aboriginal walk in australia , ate kangaroo bush tomatoes and witchey grubs bout as big as a mans thumb and as long as u middle finger. Witchety grubs taste like almonds and creamy like yogurt or melted icecream and kangaroo tastes like venison. one place we went we had emu kangoroo barramundi(best fish u ever eat) and crocodile

Last night they showed ethnic indigenous peoples in the Artic ice fishing for sharks to feed the sled dogs.
Un freegin believable. Chopping a hole by hand through 3 foot of ice and dropping a baited hook on a rope 800 yards down into the ocean. 
Yeah like your going to pull a fish bigger then your sled up through there. But they did

Crawling 30 down under the ice shelf for mussels with 15 minutes to get in and get out while the tide is out, was completely insane.

I thought it was pretty cool too, that they actually mentioned the film crew getting stranded on a floating ice drift once it broke loose. And even showed us some of that footage.
Man this stuff is so cool.

Jim, did you see the part where they had 12 foot long blow guns and they were shooting darts at monkeys 60 feet up in the canopy?


I liked the part where they built the tree house way up in the tree.  The tree house is completely made out of wooden products.  And the first thing they do to the house to christen it, is to start a fire.    How in the heck do they start a fire in the dang house on a bark floor, and not burn the whole thing down.

Good question Ben. I want to know how the babys know they have to stop running at the egde of the floor or be greeted with 100' drop too. 

Or how they can stuff 500 dead birds into a seal carcass, bury it for 8 months and then dig it up and eat it, but yet have the audacity to tell us the stench ...and I quote..."stings the nostrils". LOL!

I've never seen any reruns Scott, I dont even know if they are doing reruns yet. But...it's on Sunday nights and it's actually called "Human Planet. I screwed up in titling the thread here.

I want one of those tree houses to hunt out of . make L of a treestand wouldnt it
and that was pretty gutsy going under tons of  ice to get the mussels, it is an amazing show

Did you see the part where the 3 natives walked up and bluffed the lions off their kill then sliced off a hindquarter and skedaddled?...THEY ARE FRIGGIN CRAZY !...I can barely bluff the dog off the couch when he has a snausage ")...them werent no scrawny lions either they looked XXXL to me...I think all them guys had were some sticks to, no guns.

Yeah that was insane. The grand Pubah even admitted it was a bit rattling for him, every time he did it.
I thought it was kinda cool too that they brought in Simon King to film that indecent
