This is what the dogs and I are up to at the moment,
when it's 88 degrees in the house. I just thought it was
kinda funny when I looked over and seen em, so I took
a quick pic with my phone.  :laf:

I know there are a lot of people without air, and I grew up without it til
I moved out, but man, when ya get used to it, ya get kinda soft and miss
it a little bit !  :eyebrownod:

I know what you mean! My unit is 20 yrs old im sweating it every day will it work or not. My ac guy told me 2,500 to replace it im trying to get all i can out of it as i havent heard anything good about the new units out there. My boss has had his for 6 years and has had it worked on every year for multiple problems. Those dogs look like they own the place its almost a mirror image of my place when it comes to the dogs.

FinsnFur

I gotta admit, they look comfy as all get out.
But if it was 88 degrees in the house, and no air, I'd be looking just like that...but I wouldnt have a pulse. :nono:

When they come for mine they better bring theirs

Tikaani

Thanks Jerry just imagining that image in my minds eye damn near makes me want to gouge my eyes out.  Good picture Scott, they look comfortable.  Jim I agree, no pulse if that happened here.

yeah it got up to 93 in here now, we changed positions a bit,
went to the basement and took a nap.   I'm ready to
go somewhere and get somethin to eat, or walk around an
air conditioned store somewhere.  :eyebrownod: They look
comfy in the pic, but it was kind of in between tongues hangin
out panting.  :laf:

I hear ya on the old units, I'm referring to riverboss and the central
air unit, not Jerry and Jims,,ah never mind  :nono:
I'll have a new furnace, but my central air will still be 33 yrs old.
( I assume it's original when my house was built, like my furnace was )
I just pray that it works, and keeps working a bit longer.

O.K. I will behave.

The heat is bad and we only hit 88 today.  The air conditioner here is old and runs pretty much non-stop from about 8:00 a.m. till 11:00 p.m.  The electric company really likes me  my air conditioner.

Scott is your central air not working, or you just refuse to run it?

I used to have one of those huge in wall units like they have in motels or small offices. I loved it :eyebrow:
It finally took a dump and I replaced it with a 10,000 BTU window unit recently.
I dont think I could handle it if it got anywhere near 90 in here. It's bad enough having to work in, but if you cant get a break, get away from it long enough to get sleep and relax, it really takes a toll.

Now I'm gonna go set the timer on the camera and take a pic of me spread eagle on the couch in a pair of No-gap fly Hanes boxers :alscalls:

:laf:   sittin in a beanbag naked eatin cheetos   :laf:

yeah, I was thinkin I made a post on it, but I guess I just put it in the shout box.
Wed. night I was mowin and noticed when I mowed past the central air unit that the
fan wasn't runnin, I had a guy come look at it the next morning, my furnace took a dump
on me. I guess it made it 33 years so that was good, just not great timing for me right
now, but I guess it never is either. He's hopefully putting a new one in on Monday.

I can sympathize with you. Several years ago our A/C went out on us over a three day weekend during late August. We ended up pitching a tent outside as it would reach over 100° inside the house, and since it would never go below high 80's at night, the home of course could never cool off.

Miserable weekend. I feel for you......

iahntr

Thanks Fos. I'm not gonna lie, it's been kind of a sucky last several days !  :eyebrownod:
Hopefully by this time tomorrow It'll be good and cool in here again.  :fingerx:

I'm not too far from ya Scott. If that all falls through, load everybody up and head on over.
I had to chip ice out of the toilet this morning so I could wring out my rope. :innocentwhistle:

But remember, I'm a bachelor so give me a 30 minute notice so I can wash the dishes and vacuum a rug. :alscalls:

busy doin somethin else.   :eyebrownod:
