**** ADDENDUM BY REQUEST:

It was a bright, sunny day in NH...the kind of day that makes a man stretch in the sun and smile and be happy to be alive...being a working man like many on this fine board..I often travel in my job capacity and on this particulary fine aforementioned day I was heading to a town called "Effingham" or as I like to say way the eff up to Effingham (http://www.nh.gov/nhes/elmi/htmlprofiles/effingham.html)...which is about 2 hours from my office..much of it through very pleasant country..on the drive up I contemplated life..my kids...if Nancy Pelosi could kick Hillarys arse...if I like rum raisin ice cream over banana split ice cream...the usual meandering man thoughts...arrived at my destination after resisting the urge to stop at a road side stand well known for its fare..in a swift, expert manner I expediently engaged my job interest and accomplished my mission and then just as swiftly turned my Made in Japan steed south...approximateley 2 miles or 321 868.8 centimeters or 3.218 688 kilometers or 3 218.688 meters or  3,520 yards...well you get the idea, right?...there is a small marshy river area with a small dirt parking lot and boat ramp with a porta potty which I hit on that area when Im up there to make a quick cast and then hit the potty if needed.....I pulled up to the right side of the ramp about 10 feet from the water and was looking at the water noting it was very low and heavily covered in algae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algae)...as I was watching I noted a school of very small minnows, species unknown...come frantically bursting out of the water and then hugging the shore line...having years of experience watching Bill Dance, Hank Parker, Roland Martin, Babe Winkleman, etc...I calculated that perhaps a larger predatory species was indeed the cause of this behavior amongst the school...as I had my bass rod with me as always...i got out and grabbed my bass rod..rigged up a fresh 4 inch pumpkin seed powerbait worm..and was about to cast out when like ghostly shadows through the murky water I saw 2 fish shapes swimming at me...I stopped and waited and as they got very close in the shallow water...I noted they were suckers (http://www.nhfishfinder.com/sucker-99-fish.html)...alas my heart dropped...megafish stolen from my grasp !...but then..through the shimmering silvery surface of the water..glare greatly reduced by my polarized sunglasses...of course as we all know the concept behind  polarized sunglasses is simple, to reduce glare by selectively absorbing light waves...but back to my story..I saw a low slung...slow moving fish shape..not hugging the bottom like the suckers...could it be?..is it possible I thought?...could this indeed be the Menacer of Minnows?...micropterus salmoides..?..I would soon find out as with smooth assurance from years of watching Capt. Tred Barta fish... I slung my power worm out ahead of the fish with the precision and speed of an Anderson Silva superman punch...instantly the fish changed directions quicker then obama at a press conference...I waitedand almost instantly saw my line move and then tighten..I dropped the tip of my rod down to the water and waited till the line was taut...6 pound Spider Wire by the way...and in a split millisecond of finely honed hand, eye and arm, AKA The Bass Crane...I set the hook and felt the solid weight of a struggling fish...in short order I worked the fish in and found a healthy bass...took a few pics and set him free...I tried a few more casts with no luck...and went on my way...one of the better days afield I have had..and thats my story and Im sticking too it  :yoyo:

****ADDENDUM TO ADDENDUM: i only use Gamakatsu worm hooks they r KILLA !!
