Youth Special Late Season

Since the property I lease is not under the TPWD MLD (Management program), our WT season ended the 1st. However, we have a special late season for the kids (under 17) that ends this Sunday evening.

250Savage and I sat out this evening after picking him up from school. Winter food plots have come in pretty good. Nice to see some green amongst the grey, tan and brown.

Had some wt doe working their way towards us, and a large 2.5yr old spike stepped out (one that I've captured on trail cam and posted previously) and started grunting. ???
I thought our rut had ended over a month ago. 

Perhaps a late 2nd rut? 

Or maybe just a horny young buck?? 

Anyways, all the doe of course wanted nothing to do with him, and proceeded to run back the way they came..... with Mr. eager hot on their heels grunting along the way! lol

Guess we'll be back out tomorrow evening and through the weekend. Hopefully 250Savage will have an opportunity to drop a doe or two.
