I've put some things on hold here for new reasons that were unforeseen at the time. I decided I needed to help get our 4 & 5yr old Grandsons get started. Add to that our 3rd Grandson who has another 3-5 weeks left under wraps & I have some cash to lay out.   :whew:        Picked up the 1st of 3 of these little Henry's for the oldest Sean. I hope he likes it & enjoys it for many years to come.   Walnut & blue.  She's a right nice little rifle.

My new toy.

Glen,

Your new toy looks pretty sharp, but I think the grandson will enjoy the rifle better.

Those Henry's are real nice.  We have the NRA special edition Golden Boy Henry in our Friends of NRA raffle.  It's really nice.  The action is very smooth!

You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

Well done.... Gramps!  :eyebrownod:

Good choice, both the Ridged and Henry. You and "The Huntress" will have those little ones shooting varmints in no time.  :thumb2:

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

Who's gonna have a bigger smile when you give him that, you or Sean?  My money is on Sean, but just by a little.

Way to go Glen!  Looks like you are going to be delegated to "official film man" once the grandson takes to the chuck fields with you and Diane.  But I have a feeling you won't mind one bit.  Well done Grandpa!

Well done Glen!!!  :yoyo:

Noticed this
QuoteI have some cash to lay out.

Seems when I get down to Fla to see my Grand daughter I have some cash to lay out. I see something I want and it seems I always say "I need to wait till I have a little more money to let go." When she is around I seem to have enough.

:alscalls: @ Richard!!!!! Aint that the truth!!!!!!!!  Thanks!!

Thanks everybody. It's gonna be a lot of fun for sure.  I'm still  over the fact I found this one on the shelf. But it kinda sucks because it was beside TWO Golden Boys with CONSECUTIVE serial numbers!!!!!  I'll prolly have the Huntress train him so he can actually hit what he's aiming at. Altho with the open sights I might have to learn him a little bit.  :eyebrow: :eyebrow:  Videos will be even more fun when we go hunting now. They might even be tolerable with Diane on the camera while I talk Sean thru his 1st couple shots.  :laf: :laf:   I'm certainly not looking for Grampa of the year award. just trying to make sure our sport has a couple young fresh faces in the years to come.  :yoyo: :yoyo:

Oh yeah!!  That saw is a cuttin sumanagun!!!!!!
