Any Morels yet?

I found a bag of em in my freezer from last year. Do ya think they're any good yet?

Well none of the above. But my experience with freezing them is they turn to mush. Kinda like eating wet bread.

I store them in an unsealed plastic bag in the bottom of the fridge and when they are gone they are gone. Freezing them just never worked out real good.

They are good on Elk steak also,we dehydrate them for winter,good in spaghetti :yoyo:

Sorry, pretty dry humor there. Actually it doesn't work too bad if you lay them out on like a cookie sheet and freeze them, so they are frozen individually, once they're frozen you can put em all in a big freezer bag, That way you can take out as many as you want, and it's not a big lump froze all together. The big thing is take them from freezer and put directly into pan, without letting them thaw. Not as good as fresh but it works ok.
