The ground has so much acid in the soil that wood rots so quickly when it is in or on the ground

I woulda put the posts 4 feet into the ground with one of them pads under each one, and then filled the holes around the posts with 3/4 gravel to keep the water from setting on em....but it looks good. Decks are cheap and add a whole new world of enjoyment to a home.

Did it rain down there at your place at all? we had 2 good little storms roll through,,it was nice having cool air come in through the opened window in the reloading room and for once the wife DIDNT want the air conditioner on!!!
I dont know what the hell she is going to do when it gets hot ???
