I have a headlamp w/ a green light option, and I was wonderin if coyotes can see green? or is red the only "safe" light to use while night hunting?

That's a good question....
I'm a firm believer that coyotes cant see color. With that said, for some reason red filters aren't exactly safe. I mean I dont think that's the right word for it.
Red filters actually do something to the light, that reduces the amount of fear they experience when they see it.

I know several different filters have been tested, and while any filter will work on some coyotes, red seems to work the best.
White light is like instant danger to most of them.
