Here are a few calls I finished up this week.
John

This one is a maple distress open reed. I used a crayola marker to color it before I finished it with carnauba wax.

This one is a butternut howler.

This howler is ash and I covered it with deer split suede. It will take awhile with use and wear to get the leather to look better.

This one is spalted oak in rabbit distress closed reed.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Bills Custom Calls

Looking good John
1 question though with putting suede on the out side of the call wouldn't that change the sound of the call

The sound didn't change at all. The leather only rolls over the rim it doesn't go inside the call. Thanks for all the kind words. I appreciate it.
