Freakish Spike

My youngest son Aaron (11yo) and I went hunting this weekend. Saw numerous does, but no bucks.... aside from this weird "spike".



My boy shot him at less than 30 yards with his .250-3000 aka .250 Savage slinging 100gr. Winchester Silvertips. High shoulder shot that took out the lungs and clipped his spine. Buck went straight down like the rug had been pulled right out from under him!

As soon as I can get my son to sit still, he'll sign up and post his hunt report as he thinks he stands a good chance for the "Biggest Spike" for the Youth Contest!
