Hey Al - Now I see why you call them  "challenging shots" . Ya'll sure have some mighty small deer up your way. Gotta be a pretty good shot to hit the little fellers I reckon. How many cans of meat can ya get out of one of those ...

Actually this one dressed out about 90 lbs. and if it were closer to the truck I woulda shot a bigger one....
We have way to many deer this year and they have almost nothing to eat ....so me and the neighbors have been feeding them some this year.....I have only seen one shooter buck this year so we all decided not to shoot anything but does or that one shooter buck and try and knock down the numbers a bit.
The neighbors refused for years to shoot any does and these small deer are the result....they are finally realizing that ya gotta shoot some does.....

I passed on several small 8 points this year in hopes we will see them again next year.....

A large deer on my place right now will weigh about 130lbs. dressed and after the blue tongue they had a year ago most of the older does did not fair to well.

Them little ones always seem to eat better don't they. I've heard some of that blue tongue, must be some pretty bad stuff. Good luck to you and your buddies on thinning the heard down. What kind of limits you have there on them?

With all the tags and seasons I think its 12 total.....next week is doe only then a week of muzzleloader  then another 3 days of doe.
