The BITE ME pro-staff. You guys crack me up.  :roflmao:

If you'll notice my Bite me's are always directed at my friends and is meant as a term of endearment. It is usually a result of me choosing not to say something extremely tacky on an open forum.  :eyebrownod:

Please visit our ol' buddies over at: http://www.easterncoyotes.com

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

I'm with Bop...my only new years resolution is to not make any New Years resolutions. However, I have made some goals for myself this year...I want to hike the entire 95 mile portion of the North Country Trail in PA as well as a few other smaller hikes. And also paddle my kayak all the way across the Pennsylvania shoreline of Lake Erie from Conneaut, OH to Barcelona, NY. Its about 50 miles or so. I am starting on the hiking goal by walking the neighborhood and shoreline, as well as some hunting  Maybe a little overly ambitious, but certainly achievable.

I started on my hiking/gettin in shape yesterday. a friend of mine and myself went for a hike in the versailles state forest yesterday. It was 17* and a 13mph wind from the NNW. We wernt cold at all. I can tell you this about the Versailles state park......, It is chock full of coyotes. Tracks and scatt everywhere and when I let out a howl with the howler Barry got me.... at least 6 howled back.

I'm hoping to take the dog (and snowshoes) up to New York state tomorrow morning for a hike in the North Harmony State Forest. I'm debating on whether I want to take the camera or not...here is the forecast for the area per NOAA

QuoteSunday: Snow showers and areas of blowing snow. High near 16. Wind chill values as low as -10. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 18 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

That could be a might bit cold for my camera gear...maybe I'll sleep on it tonight :wo: So do you do a lot of hiking down there Slag?

yes and no, I havnt been hiking in a long time but a long lost friend and I have gotten back to hanigng out and he goes hiking so I am trying to get back into shape and hiking is an excellent way to do it. We are supposed to go out this weekend no mater what the weather is.

I thought I would go out hiking today too no matter what the weather was...boy was I wrong!. I ended up trying to go coyote hunting instead, but the snow was way to deep and powdery even for snowshoes. Maybe next weekend.
