On calling in two dogs reminded me of an incident that happened several years ago.  Whenever I go up north into the high country I always try to call in a wolf, have not been successful - yet.  Once while calling using an elk calf distress I had a pair of coyotes come in. They approached the caller very slowly and in a crouched position.  When the where about 10 feet from the caller I hit the wolf howl call.  They disappeared so fast they it looked just like a brown blur running through the trees.
