Took the boys over to go for a walk and check some fence plus look for some antlers and just plain see what critters are living there now.  Went out along some sand ridges[These we have lots of] and found more Elk pooh than you could swing a stick at[Donny tried :laf:].

I am kinda/sorta pissed at them fella's cause they done this to my "brand new" fence. :noway:

Then Bobby comes walking back from the south.

Then Don finally came walking back complaining of tired arms cause he had wanted to pack what I found in some heavier timber while looking at blowed down trees.  I think after packing these for an hour he may have learned something about "I wanna :hahaha:".

One was kinda neat with a drop tine.

Thought I'd throw this one in of a set I saw on a drive up to see a buddy a few days back.

Bill there was what was left of a cow elk a 1/4 mile from our land on the two track leading to it.  There must have been a herd of at least 20 animals living out there the last month or so by the sign we saw.  Between us we saw 6 White tails, 4 Mulies, 2 Ruffed grouse, 2 Canada geese and a moose.  How much would a 160 acres of land this rich in wildlife sell for down in your neck of the woods[remembering that you could only put out 6 AU/year]?

A couple years ago there was 30 acres of good hunting land just a 1/4 mile from me and it sold for $300,000.00
I am not allowed to hunt that anymore either

Some nice antler finds. :congrats: I always liked mozying around this time of year and finding some sheds and other remains.
Sometimes you can walk up on something that really tells some cool stories about things that happened through the winter out there.

Looks like a fine day to me. I can't get over how much that country looks like eastern Colorado and eastern Wyoming.  :yoyo:

BTW, I must be going blind, but in that bottom picture what am I looking for? Is that some sort of ungulate up near the tree?

Pretty good Bop  :bowingsmilie:.  It's a head of a white tail put on a post with some hide or something kinda/sorta draped over the fence close to it.  Guys have sprayed most of the gravel in the ditch, either stopping or leaving the area you can see it from. :alscalls:

Barry,

Looks like you and the boys have a great hunting area.  But most of your area has good hunting.
