  As you know I am planning a house boat adventure with my family.  I been putting money in a jar to buy a new 204 with but I saw these unit's on sale so now the jar is empty .



Got them to our local little drink. Bob got in safely.


Then Don did too.


And gone.


 All this stuff is Steve's fault .  His threads got me to thinking about these units and I guess I liked the thoughts.  These things are so easy to navigate even an idiot could do it .

The boy's got one of me too.


Any ideas on how to put these things on a car rack?

P.S. The do make carriers for them.  When you have more than one they sit on their edge on top of the car.

I got one of them Jerry and trust me I'm glad I spent a day learning how to tie them on cause it still ain't "fool" proof .

Like you Jim my back and knees make it hard on me even getting in and out of my puddle jumper. But I always wanted one of those things for small streams and ponds. Always wanted to take a day trip down Mayfield Creek fishing the holes that never saw a hook.

Barry , that is something those boy's are going to love for many years to come. When I was their age we only saw those things in magazines here. First boat I can remember dad owning was built from two sheets of plywood. We did a lot of trotlining and limb lining from that thing. Some of my best memories of time in the field with Dad.

In the spring of 75 I was saving for a car. My buddy had his priorities straight cause he took his tobacco money and bought his first boat. We drove that thing through a local church that year during the spring flood of the Mississippi river. We didn't pull a lot of fish over her gunnels but we had a ball that summer.  Jimmie
