I am a Redneck

Popcorn was in that documentary. He was the old man at the start of the show clogging and making shine. Showed where the word "redneck" originated from, snake handling, all kinds of stuff.
It was a good documentary.
I was hoping they would talk more about the Watauga Declaration of Independence in Northeast Tennessee. They seceded from the crown in 1772 and were the first group to really whip the English using Indian tactics. George Washington himself learned a great deal from that battle and the hillbillys that fought it.

Yep same Popcorn Sutton, may he rest in peace . Like many others in hte south he believed the government had no bussiness in his bussiness.

Rich, no one else but us believers would see the resemblance in today and what went on during the Civil War period. And today all the states really want to do is to uphold federal laws already in place. And to have such ideas is racist!  

Some Somalians want to incorporate a Mosque here in Mayfield. They already show links to some type of organized crime . But we are racist because we want some assurances the crime faction will be taken care of. The building they have chosen has six parking spots for 150 members, no parking lot . Bussinesses nearby are up in arms over that problem, and they are being called racist.   Muslims worship daily.

If I were to walk in on a Muslim at prayer I would bow my head. If they run up an american flag I would say the pledge or salute it. I say yes mam and no sir in deference to my elders and believe all should do the same. It is Christmas to me not any of that other crap. So hell yes I am redneck and proud of it. Jimmie
