I went out Fri for awhile after hearing that the coyotes were thick one a farm i hunt. I went in and looked around alittle looking for sign and boy did i find it, bones everywhere several fawns had been ate along with some turkeys. I sat down and tried some calling after about a hour nothing had showed up so i went to work.   I went back Sat and tried again nothing, i went down in the holler and tried again but the wind was starting to blow wrong so i left. I ran into the owner and he had gotten me permission to hunt the land next to it and was telling me were he had been hearing them, so i went back today to the new farm i drove around to see if he had moved his cattle and saw a big coyote standing in the road. I went down and turned into the new farm and tried to get as close as i could to were i had saw him  and called for about a hour with no takers :madd: i got up and walked back to the truck and the farmer was there, we were talking when a pack opened up about 200 yrds away on the farm i had hunted fri and sat :biggrin:down the hill i went, I jumped 5-6 deer on my way and figured it was over, but went on anyway i started pups in distress on the little dog nothing! then i hit the fawn in distress when this young bitch showed up the 60 gr sp 223 bullet found its mark DRT so i went back on the distress call a few minutes later i catch her buddy leaving :wo: i hadent even saw it come in.

Yeah, they'll get you all twisted up sometimes.  We went this morning at first light, and had a pair raising hell about 800 yds away, and I actually saw them for just a second at the top of the hill where the farm road passes through an open gate.   Gave them about ten minutes quiet time, slipped up over the hill from a different angle, and sat up with the sun to our back, and started calling again with the Fury.  Nearly instantly a big pair came into the other end of the pasture, and zeroed in on the sound and the decoy.  When they got about 30 yards from the decoy, I stopped them and knocked the front dog down.  When her mate came flying by her at mach speed, she jumped up and ran like she had not been hurt at all, and followed him to the top of the hill before getting into a patch of thick briars and honeysuckle.  They are tough rascals for sure.
