If you saw my "On the board" thread in the archery forum, I wrote about a nine point I was after during that morning.  I felt a little remorse after shooting the buck I later shot, which was a dandy.  Well a friend was driving around that area this afternoon and came across that nine point and shot these photos with a telephoto (I believe right from his car within a hundred yards of my tree stand - the doe around this area, I believe, have learned that they can find safety from a hounding buck by hunkering up close to roads).
Anyway, here are the pics - they don't get much bigger around here:

I'm liking whatever your buddy used for a camera too. :sneer:

Just a blow up of the second pic.  I keep looking at the length of those tines.
And I agree, Jim, that camera did a nice job.

I can see why you were after that one!!!!!!!! I don't think a taxidermist can get a form big enough for that neck to look real!! He's brute bastid!!  :yoyo: :yoyo:

I would be happy with either of those bucks.

:doh2: They don't get much bigger than that ANYWHERE! What a stud!

That last photo looks like they're getting ready to play leapfrog...
Take your kids hunting and you won't have to hunt your kids!

Wow!  I hope he hangs around for another year to give you a chance again.  Great looking buck!

That one will haunt your memories for a while.  He's a real beaut!  He did not get that big by being stupid.  He'll hopefully be around next season for another round.
