Rick Howard

I saw this on CBC.  Interesting stuff!  Somewhere I found the entire video online.  I will try to dig up the link.

Good show i thought..they do get mighty comfy around people. The last one I saw looked a lot like a wolf to me, tall kind of silver gray colored with a really long muzzle.

intresting.to say the least.

wish i could see the series
Don't bring shame to our sport.

He died for dipshits too.

possumal

Yeah, it was a really interesting show.  The comments by the narrator about them becoming totally nocturnal to avoid problems with people, and the part about not seeing a particular animal for weeks at a time even though they were fitted with a radio collar really emphasizes how smart they are.

I would pay green cash money to have seen possumal pop up out of the bushes and smoke one of them coyotes in front of all the tree huggers!...hahaha.

snafu

I read some yrs back. A Biologist's findings, on a coyote. The white underside fur has a demarcation only on the lower jaw, throat & the underside. Vs. A Red Wolf, where the white facial fur is up high on the lower 1/2 of the face(right below the eyes). Like that of a wolf.

You made me go looking Snafu
That seems true for the most part too, but the white fur demarcation doesnt seem to be limited to the lower jaw. It trims the top jaw also, all the way around the coyotes snout.
Interesting stuff
