Those molded howlers sound the same as the old, regular type, authentic cow horn howlers? I bought one from you four or five........maybe six years ago. Dang my mind is going....... :rolleye:

Either way, It's a pleasure having you on the site Mr. Rich Cronk himself.......... :congrats:

Rich: so good to have ya here! :highclap:

Ol' Zip is in my hunting vest pocket ready for action.  Can't hang him around my neck as he tends to boss the other calls on my lanyard around. :laf:  Yeah, thank God for the reed cover as He knows it needs it! :iroll: :laf:  Brilliant!

Bopeye,
Those molded howlers actually DO sound just like a real buffalo horn howler, and it is hard to tell by looking at one that it isn't really buffalo.  These don't have a reed protector though. Mouthpiece is carved directly into the howler.  A groove  for reed retainer band was ground into the original with a dremel. All I do when the molded howler comes in, is cut a reed for it, install the red and fine tune the tone board with a file. One piece, seamless howler that is real handy  to pack around all day.
