Man that's a tough one to analyze without some geographical information.

If you can bring in an aerial map, some of us could look it over.

Lots of factors involved with your question.

They could be seeing you walk to your stand.
They may be winding you walking to your stand.
They may not even be in the area your calling in...when you are there.
They may even be coming straight in to your calls and checking up at a good distance, and your not seeing them.

The coyotes may not be there or within hearing at the times you have been there. You may have a farm along a travel route and the coyotes are only passing through and bedding or feeding in other areas. Try getting you some more land hooked onto this farm, the more land you have locked together the easier it is to find and call the coyotes.

All of the above....and remember.....don't try to
"Hunt" the EXACT area where they are....try to "CALL" the area where they are.....

You have to put the map where you want it and then save it to your computer. Then upload it to where ever you host your pictures. You will be able to post it here then.

First of all a BIG thank you to keekee for posting the pic

The inside  tree line is the top of the ridge .Go to  the right of the pic that goes into a hollow. The pond under the word earth is the pond where all the yote tracks are,and that is downhill also.if you  go NE from that pond it goes back uphill to an open feild that goes for about a mile. The buildings you see are a old brick yard and 2 of the buildings are falling down.they have old air tunnels and dirt floors.Could be a good hiding place right? The smaller pond on the left has no tracks around that one. the bigger one I didn't check that one.if you go to the left [off the page ]that would be a small town.about 500 ft from the edge of the woods.

My stand was just inside the woods at the top of the ridge above the pond on the right. I hope this helps out.Feel free to ask any questions.

The first thing I would do is check out the larger pond. It's not that far away and your only withholding information from yourself. Kinda silly not to take a look.

I really doubt the coyotes are hiding out inside the brickyard buildings, all though nothing is impossible. Regardless of what kind of building it is, it's just not natural enough for a coyote to be THAT comfortable with.

I'd do some more scouting and see if I could figure out what lures them to the area. Meaning is the brickyard full of mice and or rats?...how about rabbits?
Look for scat, pick it apart and you should be able to tell what they are eating. If whatever they are eating is found in or near that brickyard, it would be a safe assumption that they are feeding / hunting there.

If whatever you find in their scat is NOT being provided by the brickyard and it's surroundings, then I would assume they are either just passing through this area, which makes it en route to another destination....or their coming for the pond water only.

Don't worry about the big pond, it is a sediment tank for the brick making proccess and would be full of chemicals and mineral sediments making it unfit for a water source. However this area is perfect for a feeding area. The overgrown conditions around the buildings make for a lot of field mice, small birds and rabbits.

The woods make for perfect aproach lanes coming into and out of th area. They can move in and check things out before entering to hunt. This is why the point where the pond is , is loaded with tracks. if the winds are predominately from a western direction they can scent check the area from that point. I would look for the bedding grounds to be somewhere to the south east or south west about three to four miles from there. Sure way to find out is  to check them with a howler or siren around ten to midnight. I believe that they are using this area only at night. Jimmie

Ok guys first of all thanks for all input

I live about 1 mile SW of this photo and I have permission to hunt most of the land between me and this farm and all the farmers have reported seeing yotes.
I used my howler tonight standing on my porch and located yotes in every direction.I have a couple of spots to the south and east of where I live to hunt. I guess I need to do a lot more scouting. But I think I should have someone with a lot more experience then I got to help me out. 1 thing I forgot to say is there is a lot of old strip mines around this area. That was never reclaimed and just grown up with trees , briars ,and very brushy

Then the strip mines are where I would be looking. They are more remote than the one in the pic.

Keekee see if you can blow this pic to about ten square miles and lets see if we can figure out where he should start. Leave this part in the upper left hand corner if you can. that should show us the travel lanes going to and from this area we need to see. Jimmie
