More Gun Control Coming !!

The House of Representatives recently passed H.R. 2640: NICS Improvement Amendments Act of 2007  on a voice vote with NO debate and NO request for comments.  This bill is a knee jerk reaction to the Virginia Tech shootings.  It is now in the Senate. 

This bill will virtually DENY firearms to thousands of veterans who are diagnosed with PTSD, anyone a doctor says might be a risk to themselves or others  (that's just about everbody on the planet!), anyone who takes anti depressants, Ritalin, or has ever been treated for mental problems (kids with ADD too).

Contact your Senators and ask them to OPPOSE this bill !!!!  Do it NOW!!

Its the same old tired story.  Criminals don't care what laws are enacted.  Criminals don't obey laws!  

What criminals want are unarmed victims.   I know I'm preaching to the choir here.  But all the laws in the universe won't stop someone determined to do harm to others.   

For the government to deny firearm rights to veterans just because they seek help for the nightmares of war they experienced while fighting for their country is beyond the pale and just makes me sick.
