National God Out Day (Can you believe this in America?)

A friend sent this to me. She wrote all of this in reaction to a "National God Out" day that is to be held Nov. 15, 2007. If you are a concerned Christian, you should take the time to read this....

Frankly it made me sick to my stomach. Not that it surprises me that the secular world would come up with a "National God Out" day.  What surprises me is that we, the church, have been sitting down, twirling our thumbs long enough that this would be allowed or even considered in our nation. Well I am not going to sit back and watch it happen anymore. Christians wake up.  Do what you can to make up for the sins of the past generations; the sins that allowed prayer to be taken out of schools, the ten commandments taken out of the court houses, and have allowed a woman to slaughter her unborn child in the name of "free choice", the sins that have taken us as far as to actually have a "National God Out" day, in my country and in your country. My country was established by Godly men who created our society with prayer and the Holy Scriptures of the Bible, my county that allows me the privilege to pray on the streets and go to any public book store and find a Bible; my country, your country, our country.

Christians, what are we going to do about it?

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)   14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Did you read that?  It said if you, me, we humble ourselves and pray. That means we get on our faces and repent, repent of the sins we have done, and the things we have purposefully ignored, the things we simply overlooked. Truly repent meaning don't commit the same sins again; and after we turn from your wicked ways, we then seek His face.  You know it's a little hard to be wicked and in God's Word at the same time.  If we do these things, God will hear us from heaven and forgive us and restore our land.  Did you hear that?  Let me say it again to make my point; restore our land.  Don't you want that? Don't you want your children and grandchildren to belong to a restored land?  I know I desperately want that.

Quoting the IAA, (Iowa Atheist Alliance-same web address as stated above) "See what all the godless hype is about. Try it for just one day- and then another and another!" Well, I'm going to take it to my level.  I am going to show God one day and then another and another!

I am proposing this, start praying, mark your calendars, set a timer on your cell phones, whatever it takes to remind you.  On November 15, 2007 I am declaring a church wide "Humble Yourself Before God" day. Go to your churches, walk your city, do your job in the name of the God of the Bible.  Pray for restoration of your land and then give it back to God.  My response to a "National God Out" day is this:

If you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."          Joshua 24:15-16

WOW! I think it's a GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For one day, Lord willing , I can act like there is no God.  Just think of the number of idiots like that I could murder. Why I'd melt more gun barrels than I could on a 1,000 acre virgin prairie dog town. 

Guarantee, give me one day like that & they won't give me another. 

Kinda like the ol' saying ... "Some people are alive only because it's illegal to shoot 'em"
