Got back from the party (4:20 AM) to say goodbye to one of Vegas' oldest casino's (and another temporary lose of one of my son's computer/security customers).   

They took down the New Frontier Casino 2 hours ago after 65 years standing.   About 10 minutes of spectacular fireworks lead up to the implosion countdown and it was quite a sight.   I've been to several casino goodbye implosions in Vegas now and they just never get boring.   People turn out in the thousands, the bubbly flows freely in the streets and all have a good time.

Two years and several billion dollars later it will be replaced with the Las Vegas Plaza, modeled after The Plaza Hotel in NYC.

I'm heading to Vegas next weekend.  I'll check out the rubble.  The Frontier was where I got educated on how to play Texas Hold'em.

Man thats strange, I stayed at the New Frontier when I was in Vegas a couple years ago. the thing was showing its age when I was there.
