Yoes n lock jaw

Heard several different packs fri night and they were very vocal,  sat we went out and tried to locate some more dogs, we drove to alot of different spots and played the siren and never heard a dog.  Why is it that some nights they are very vocal and other nights they have lock jaw?  My buddie John hunts every weekend and keeps a log and he said about 2 weeks out of the month he gets absolutly no response.   Any of u pros know the answer to this?

Good question. Could probably be several different reasons.
My part B. to that question would be, - why do ya hear em
goin like crazy on the other side of the section, so then
the next night ya move over there, and ya hear em goin like crazy
where ya were the night before.

fri is the night we had them going crazy, we went back sat in the area but a little ways away and tried different sounds and heard nothing

I should "rephrase", or explain my reply.
I wasn't referring to you or your post,
I was just sayin that that's what happens to me,
I hear em over there, so I go over there,
then I hear em back where I was before.   
They just like laughin at me.

It is frustrating to say the least I was with Golfertrout and I too would like a better understanding of what makes em tight lipped one night and go nuts at other times. We covered a lot of miles and we should have found something.
