But it could be.  :eyebrownod:

Went down to the local wally world here & found some external memory deevices for the puter. They are 2GB & were on sale for $12.98 I think it was. These mass storage devices are very easy to format & use & Diane has 510 pictures on hers already. I saved my pen pics to one & my hunting/outdoors pics to another. It will take a lot of pics to fill one of these bad boys & the nice thing is you'll free up internal memory space & regain a little speed back on your system. At this point in time I highly recommend these for any game call maker that stores his pics on his computer instead of in an outside account like Photobucket. You can't take pics of calls you've already sent out IMHO. Just thought I would share & hope somebody gets some good from this post.

They are nice Al.

Jim-- I thought about you when I posted this. I would hate to see you lose all your pics if you were to have puter troubles.

There not really memory chips though, they're actually storage chips. Kinda like a mini hard drive.

I use them everyday. They are real handy for taking stuff...say to someones house without having to email a large file etc. I use them for transferring large files and databases from one computer to another here at the house, and for storing clients sites on them.

I buy the Pony® 4 gig ones :eyebrow:

I am with Jim I use mine almost everyday. I work on projects at home then down load them to my thumb drives. I take them to work and give them to the secretary to down load to her work computer. Another good use is to encrypt one and save all your passwords and other important data on and stick it in the safe.

The prices have went down so much through the years it's unbelievable. I have a couple of small 512 ones I bought several years ago at something like 60 bucks apiece.  :madd:  Same way with SD cards the prices have drop so much. In 05 I bought a 512 SD card in NewYork  on vacation for 65 bucks now you can get an 8gig card for that price. :doh2:
