Starting about 21 years ago, my nephew, Danny Sipe, was constantly trying to get me to go coyote hunting with him.  He knew that I had hunted almost everything huntable since age 13, and knew how to read the land and use terrain to my advantage hunting other species.  Took him 3 years to get me out there, but I killed a nice female when she and her sister passed by my perch, hunting like two bird dogs.  I did the deed on her with a 22-250 at 190 yds.  Danny and I went back out there next morning at first light, and he did one long, lonesome howl, and we watched.  Her sister showed up quickly just about where I saw her last the day before, and Danny did the dirty deed. I was hooked right then and there. After 5 years hunting yotes with nothing but mouth calls, I got interested in using an ecaller in conjunction with hand calls, and got hooked even worse.  For the past 10 years or so, I have hunted only coyotes and crows, as none of the other species even interest me anymore.  Like Rich Cronk has said several times, just the word "Coyote" gets me stirred  up and ready to go.  It is by far the most addictive hunting I have experienced.  I am getting interested in taking a big old bobcat this winter now that we have a season.  Meeting a lot of good guys has been a side reward.  I have been blessed to have a lot of success hunting old Wiley, and I really enjoy sharing techniques and knowledge with others, especially the younger hunters.  I'd rather call in a big pair for my grandsons than to call in any for myself.  Two of them, Jonathan and Josh, are accomplished hunters in their own right, and their younger brother is coming on strong now.  I just pray the Good Lord lets me stay around long enough to work with some of my great grandsons.  That would be a real trip.  One of them, Brycen Goodlet, is old enough to go with me now as an observer, and he is already feeling the itch.  I have him shooting pretty good with  a scoped 22, and plan to graduate him up to something like a 223 before this year is over.

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

That is quite a write up eh  :bowingsmilie:.    I'm thinking if I did all things you say will work I could call coyotes here without a call.  Some really good info on the sport right there.
I say what I think not think what I say.

"Some really good info on the sport right there. " I will go a long with that.
