Glad you had a great time with your youngin and a good friend. :congrats: Times like that dont happen near often enough. Thats the beauty of shooting 22's, all day fun on the cheap. :yoyo: I bought an extra camera to take along when me and the offspring go out and do stuff like that and it is so easy to forget that you have it :pout:. So dont let them other people get you down too bad cause you dont have pics. I still like ya. :innocentwhistle:

That is one nice Glock. Friend of mine has a 26 in 40S&W he let me shoot it. It was love at first bang. :yoyo:

A little friendly instruction goes a long way. :readthis: Especially when you notice the improvement right off the get go. :eyebrow:

Bop,

I was reading the posts, saw your new gun (marked 26 9x19) and thought that isn't a .45 slide, but maybe he swapped out the barrel and magazines.  Then you posted that the model 19 magazines interchanged and started to wonder even more.  Then I read that you stole his gun and thought that you had better be a better and quicker shot than he is when he finds out what you did.    :rolleye:    If you survive this, you should probably let me know when you want me to come and pick up the .45.  I have looked at them for years and really liked them, but ended up with a model 23 in .40 cal.  The other thing to look at is the replacement barrel and magazine to convert it to .22 LR.  Those darn things cost all much as a used Glock.

Jerry

P.S.  If we don't hear from you we will know that you lost the gunfight and someone now has your 9mm and your .45

Bopeye

Matt got a big laugh outta this as well you all did too.  :noway: :nono:

It's all good though. I went back over and still like this little 9mm better than any of the others. I'll just keep hollow points in it and have a good little self defense/concealed carry gun.

Glad you all had a good laugh at my expense again. So I guess all I can say in my defense is BITE ME.

:laf:

It is kind of funny how it all happened today. Jeb called me and woke me up. I thought he was pulling my leg and was about half ticked that he woke me up on my vacation day to pull a prank. Sure enough though. I looked at the gun and it was a 9mm.    What the........? I said.
So I gave Semp a phone call and this guy knows his Glocks. Glad he let me know as I was going to buy some more ammo for it today. Guess I would have figured it out when I tried to load it.  :laf:
Called Matt and he laughed and laughed. So I guess you can say I have been the "BUTT" of the jokes today. Oh well. All's well that ends well.  ;yes; :thumb2:

Any way ya look at it ya got yourself a Glock. And a Glock is a nice piece of equipment. Wear it and shoot it with pride. Just make sure your shooting at the correct target.

Bop you have my utmost sympathy  :roflmao: :roflmao:.  Not to worry unless of course that is the final error you are going to make .
I say what I think not think what I say.

Well I'm glad you got it straightened out... might be a little hard to get a 45 slug to go down the 9mm tube.
Since this is your first Glock, you may want to ask Matt if he has the owner's manual for that 9mm/45.

I doubt he does since I have the only one of it's kind. The 9mm 45acp special.  :roflmao:

I'm such a dork.  :laf:

Bop,

Actually the 9mm will offer MORE than enough knock down power and the recoil from it will be MUCH better than the 45 ACP.  I really think that you will like the 9 better and the ammo is both easier to come by and cheaper.

I don't have a Glock in 9mm so I am still interested.

Jerry

slagmaker

Hey I like my 9mm. Its not a Glock but I like it. Cheeper to shoot, negligable recoil and ya got more in the stack. What more can ya ask for?

As Jerry said a 9 has the power ya just got to put it in the right spot. Cheaper will get you the practice to put it where ya want it.

There are lots of advantages to a Glock 9mm.  Target/plinking ammo is relatively cheap.  For CCW purposes, load up that Glock with Cor-bon 115gr JHP or other high quality JHP and it will get the job done.

I have had several Glocks over the years beginning with the original Glock 17 back in the '80's.  Never had a single problem out of any of them.
