Hamer!!!  Hamer!!! You are the biggest recipient of BITE ME's in the history of this board!! However, I have done some searching and thinking today. I even chatted on the phone with Huntncarve today. Not too many fellas on this planet can top him. He's a true scholar and gentleman. His family is full of very smart and talented individuals as well.  ;yes;

The list goes on and on of those that could easily win this award. I have given it much thought and I think I know which individual will receive this "coveted award" this year, BUT nobody will know who is going to get it until we meet at the LBL. Hopefully this individual will be there. If not, maybe we can get CCP to film it as we present it to the winner at the LBL and then send it their way. I think most of you will find my decision dead on, at least I hope you do.
Hamer won it last year at Redbird and I think most agree he could very easily win it again this year, but we'll just have to wait and see.

You guys really are my internet family and I think so much of so many of you. I appreciate Jim Champion for giving us this board to be as tight as we are. I know we sometimes have our disagreements, but what family doesn't, yes?

I will be leaving in a few minutes to attend the viewing of a very good friend of mine that died suddenly Wednesday morning. He was 51 years old and fell dead of a blood clot. His daughter worked trying to save him, but to no avail. Tomorrow is his funeral. It reminds me that we should never take our friends for granted. He was one of the best men I ever knew. Having said that, just to tell ya'll that I do not take our freindships here lightly. Thank you so much for all of you and the times we have had here and hopefully in the future.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the LBL.  :yoyo: :highclap:

Bop-- I'm not trying to win it.  :nono:  I'm just trying to have a bunch of fun with it. I'm sure the wiener winner will be deserving of this highly prestigious award. I certainly hope the winner is there too. As for Dave,,, well his work speaks volumes of itself & the time he takes to make his HH posts & the BITE ME awards is truly great. I really enjoy those stories. And I agree with you about the good folks here. Friends N Family.  :biggrin:

Sorry to hear about your Friend. I hope his Family recovers quickly from this sudden tragic event. And that you do as well. Luckily you have each other to lean on James.

Hey Bop. I stole this from the Daily Quotes topic. It seems to be appropriate for the moment.

Amen to that Hamer.

Hey guys. I didn't mean to bum this thread. Death is a part of life. I'll miss Freddy, but I will see him again.
My point in bringing it up was just to let you know that I don't take my friendships with people lightly. When someone comes into my life and becomes a part of it like so many of you have, it becomes embedded into who I am. When you guys rejoice, I rejoice with you. When you mourn, I mourn with you. When times are tough I feel it with you and so on.

Please don't let me sidetrack this post with the death of my friend. I loved him and his children, but God and those of us left will see to them. In the meantime, we need to have a good time here.
What Dave (Huntncarve) has done is what makes us uniquely FnF. We are not like other sites. Nobody is trying to profit off of each other, we are not trying to out do each other, and we for sure aren't trying to claw our way to the top by stepping on others. That's what makes this place unique and more like a home away from home than just another website.

Let the other sites beat each other out of money or try to become famous or whatever other scheme they come up with, while we just keep on hunting, fishing, enjoying what God has given us and enjoying one another's camaraderie.

I can't wait to see the winners face when he gets this. I hope it's caught on film.  :wink:

It's called the "buckshot" approach Barry and I can't find anything in the regs saying it's illegal, not even at the LBL.  :laf:
