   Has anyone ever bheard of using compressed air for skinning, I was reading on another board about using the needle that you use to fill basketballs, stick it under the skin and inflate ? Just curious

I read about it on a trappers board but I don't trap and most of my dead critters won't hold air.

I've heard of it....seen it done.... and tried it twice.
I wasn't particularly fond of it, but I'm sure I didnt give myself time to get it down pat either.

My experience with it is that the parts of the body that it actually works well on... (the torsoe) is the easiest part to skin anyway.
Where I wanted it to be useful was ears, tails and limbs.

Jimbo maybe you didn't get it up to the Maximum PSI limit.

Could be....but what is the maximum PSI limit. We fluctuated up to 180 psi.
Which was the limits of my compressor.

I have tried it quite a few times and it does work to some degree. The fresher the better seems to be a rule though.  The boys enjoy seeing a critter triple in size but not the smell when they aren't really fresh .
