General yammering part.  

How did your day go??  

I'm whipped!! Here's how my day went.  


90 minute drive to job.  

7 guys shoveling snow off a 3/12 pitch steel roof.  

3 guys on ground getting things organized for tomorrow. { I was 1 of the 3   }

We went to borrow the lift & had to wait 20 minutes for it to be freed up.   again.

Took the lift to our work area & buried it immediately upon leaving the blacktop.  

Used the forks to lift the front end & push the lift back up on the blacktop.  

Used the forks to drag the high spots into the low spots to create a road to get materials into our work area.  

Got a bunk of insulation & started thru fence again.  

Buried the lift again!!  

Set the insulation out as far as I could reach.  

Set a 2nd bunk of insulation by the 1st bunk.  

Replowed the mud to creata a new road.  

Got three bunks of nailboard inside the fence on new road.  

Boss showed up & said    We have a problem.  

Found out the steel deck was setting 4" lower than the existing building we were tyeng into.  

Took a break while waiting for the "experts" to figure it out.  

Brought all material BACK out thru the swamp barely getting last 2 bunks out.  

Had the guys load their snow shovels back into the van.  

Drove 90 minutes home.  

Looks like I'm laid off again!!  

See why I'm tired now??

YEP!!  

This was after Monday's debacle on the same job. We had 4 trucks coming in to be unloaded. The 1st two were 1/2 hour early.    The 4th was right on time.    The 3rd was supposed to be there at 9:30AM & finally showed up at 2PM.    All by the hour of course.

It wasn't all that bad. I did get paid. The boss was the one that was    dejected you might say.
